With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keven Pellerin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes in the game, Rogelio Bonami fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Émilien Sheppard having to interfere. Émilien Sheppard was a little too slow when Rogelio Bonami got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 19th minute, Goodlands's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogelio Bonami fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 23rdth minute of the game Trent Krause who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lunenburg AFC's Keven Pellerin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Rogelio Bonami managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lunenburg AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Bonami was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Émilien Sheppard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Émilien Sheppard made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Eustaquio Miller sent off a good shot on target. Émilien Sheppard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Bonami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rogelio Bonami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Loren Townsend sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goodlands's Trent Krause got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After having played for 52 minutes, Rogelio Bonami managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lunenburg AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Bonami was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rosendo Laux's late challenge caught a Lunenburg AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rosendo Laux helped the player get up and apologised. Émilien Sheppard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Bonami in the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Loren Townsend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goodlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loren Townsend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Émilien Sheppard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Bonami, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Émilien Sheppard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Miller in the 75th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes, Lunenburg AFC's Leslie Couch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Émilien Sheppard came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lunenburg AFC reached it. In the 90th minute, Rogelio Bonami left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lunenburg AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Lunenburg AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
