Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 0) The attack was good, but when Ashley Morin in the 7th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 15th minute Saskatoon FC were awarded a corner. Eldon Lemieux went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Eldon Lemieux almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Queenstown FC's Marcus Lam did a great save. 17 minutes into the match, Queenstown FC's goalkeeper Marcus Lam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Spencer Gleason. Spencer Gleason who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Marcus Lam when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pierre Bland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ashley Morin in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Queenstown FC booed when Saskatoon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eldon Lemieux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Bland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Derick Keller's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Queenstown FC's Ashley Morin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pierre Bland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Queenstown FC's Marcus Lam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrice Cummins in the 45th minute of play. Marcus Lam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrice Cummins in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Ashley Morin made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Fabrice Cummins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saskatoon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrice Cummins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Lam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Spencer Gleason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Queenstown FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Nathan Henson hit a great ball. Queenstown FC's Marcus Lam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrice Cummins in the 62nd minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Fabrice Cummins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Lam. Queenstown FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabrice Cummins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Fabrice Cummins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute, Spencer Gleason left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saskatoon FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Ashley Morin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Schultz hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Sang Garrett in the 87th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Pierre Bland's left hand side. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Pierre Bland successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Walton Worley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Bland having to interfere. Queenstown FC's René Hadley shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pierre Bland but with some difficulty. Saskatoon FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
