Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jordan Frederick made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4thth minute of the game Loren Townsend who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arelee's Rolf Grier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jamison Saenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Émilien Sheppard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Goodlands:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Arelee:s goal. When the match had been going on for 10 minutes, Arelee's Abraham Duncan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Émilien Sheppard. With an all-out effort, Arelee's Émilien Sheppard threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jordan Frederick, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jordan Frederick struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Émilien Sheppard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arelee. Jamison Saenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Émilien Sheppard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Loren Townsend came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Goodlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loren Townsend couldn't finish the play. Émilien Sheppard made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Jamison Saenz sent off a good shot on target. Rolf Grier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garland Tolbert in the 31st minute of play. Rolf Grier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loren Townsend, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Goodlands's goal looked a bit too open when Jordan Frederick came free, but Émilien Sheppard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes, Goodlands's Patrick Lynch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rolf Grier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Goodlands reached it. 40 minutes into the match, Arelee's goal looked a bit too open when Garland Tolbert came free, but Rolf Grier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Loren Townsend managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goodlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Loren Townsend was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolf Grier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arelee's Jamison Saenz got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Arelee's Jamison Saenz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Émilien Sheppard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Jay Spencer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Garland Tolbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Arelee's zone, Loren Townsend stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Grier came out of the goal and Loren Townsend tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garland Tolbert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Rolf Grier made a huge save. Goodlands's Iréné Zavala was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rolf Grier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Goodlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Arelee.
