In the 15th minute Ashley Morin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jame Cisneros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Lam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Weston Shearer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Queenstown FC's Marcus Lam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Queenstown FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walton Worley during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Walton Worley hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Queenstown FC's zone, Roger Tuttle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Lam came out of the goal and Roger Tuttle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronny Trent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Weston Shearer charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Weston Shearer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Weston Shearer hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Derick Keller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jame Cisneros having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Derick Keller made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Tuttle in the 53rd minute of play forced Queenstown FC's goalkeeper Marcus Lam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Tuttle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Marcus Lam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronny Trent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
