The supporters of Saskatoon FC booed when Queenstown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Descoteaux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walton Worley hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. When Saskatoon FC's Alfonso Clarke in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fabrice Cummins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute of the match Eldon Lemieux sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Lam skillfully saved the ball. Marcus Lam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seth Bernstein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Queenstown FC booed when Saskatoon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willard Thorpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derick Keller in the 26th minute of play forced Saskatoon FC's goalkeeper Pierre Bland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Alfonso Clarke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saskatoon FC's Pierre Bland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Saskatoon FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Saskatoon FC defense, Joaquin Descoteaux kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierre Bland. The Saskatoon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierre Bland should have stopped the shot. Derick Keller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Bland having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fabrice Cummins made the kick off in the second half. If Spencer Gleason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrice Cummins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Lam having to interfere. Derick Keller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Pierre Bland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willard Thorpe charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willard Thorpe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sang Garrett's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Pierre Bland on his right side and into the goal. 83 minutes into the game it was 2-0. In the 96th minute, Fabrice Cummins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Queenstown FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Saskatoon FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
