After some careless play in the Riceton AFC defense, Rodrick Hagen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Célestin Muniz. The Riceton AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Célestin Muniz should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Riceton AFC's Louis Willoughby got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 18 minutes Riceton AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Milan Valentine who took care of the corner kick. Ismael Aponte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Célestin Muniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Odell Shipman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 played minutes Riceton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dirk Britt. Matthew Bruneau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rashad Magee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Bruneau, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Luseland's zone, Louis Willoughby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rashad Magee came out of the goal and Louis Willoughby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Célestin Muniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shane Hoff in the 51st minute of the match. When Louis Willoughby came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Riceton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louis Willoughby couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute of the match, Odell Shipman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rashad Magee saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 66th minute Odell Shipman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rashad Magee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Riceton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Aponte came free, but Célestin Muniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Ismael Aponte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Célestin Muniz. Riceton AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ismael Aponte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 80th minute, Shane Hoff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Luseland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Luseland fans cheered their team off the field, for while Riceton AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
