The supporters of Luseland booed when Amazon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlton Bondy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 5 minutes, Ismael Aponte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luseland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Aponte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Aponte took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximo Darby. Maximo Darby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Duncan Shapiro kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ismael Aponte in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximo Darby saved Amazon from getting behind. Ismael Aponte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Maximo Darby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Ismael Aponte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Darby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Shane Hoff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximo Darby was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Maximo Darby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane Hoff in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Luseland's Shane Hoff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximo Darby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ismael Aponte was the one to do the kick off. Maximo Darby made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Shane Hoff sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, Shane Hoff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Amazon defense, Shane Hoff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Darby. The Amazon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Darby should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ismael Aponte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luseland's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Aponte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Darby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Maximo Darby managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Luseland's Shane Hoff fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Amazon's Brendan Heard got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brendan Heard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rashad Magee having to interfere. Maximo Darby acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Theron Crane. 96 minutes into the game, Amazon's Eric Nadeau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rashad Magee made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Luseland had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
