The supporters of Ladner FC booed when Minnitaki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deandre Carney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglass Maxwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlo Lam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Bolduc having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Douglass Maxwell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theodore Nichols was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Duncan Flamand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ernesto Bolduc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ladner FC's Dion Escobar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Theodore Nichols. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. 42 minutes into the match, Minnitaki FC's goalkeeper Theodore Nichols had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglass Maxwell. Ernesto Bolduc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Flamand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ladner FC's Douglass Maxwell got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Duncan Flamand got free with Ernesto Bolduc in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 52nd minute, Dion Escobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ladner FC's zone, Duncan Flamand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Bolduc came out of the goal and Duncan Flamand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Bolduc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duncan Flamand in the 58th minute. Douglass Maxwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Nichols having to interfere. Duncan Flamand's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Ernesto Bolduc skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglass Maxwell in the 79th minute of play forced Minnitaki FC's goalkeeper Theodore Nichols to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Minnitaki FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gaston Pugh hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlo Lam kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernesto Bolduc. That made the score 1-2 in the 91 minute of play.
