The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Loic Maloney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Darby having to interfere. Altona AFC's Jonathan Neely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendan Heard in the 6th minute of play. Jonathan Neely made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Gabriaux in the 15th minute of play. Jonathan Neely showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Gabriaux in the 17th minute of the match. In the 31stth minute of the game Karl Gabriaux who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Altona AFC's Jonathan Neely was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximo Darby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Ratliff, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Maximo Darby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toussaint Esquivel in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Altona AFC's Toussaint Esquivel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximo Darby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Altona AFC's Jonathan Neely got control of the ball when Carlton Bondy tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Gabriaux in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Neely saved Altona AFC from getting behind. In the 64th minute, Hugo Ratliff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximo Darby was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Karl Gabriaux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 71st match minute, Altona AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Jensen to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Neely made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Gabriaux in the 75th minute of play. Brendan Heard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Amazon's zone, Toussaint Esquivel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximo Darby came out of the goal and Toussaint Esquivel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 played minutes Altona AFC got a freekick which was hit by Loic Maloney. After a defensive mix-up in Altona AFC's zone, Brendan Heard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Neely came out of the goal and Brendan Heard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximo Darby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Ratliff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Nadeau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Neely read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 100 minutes, Carlton Bondy took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jonathan Neely to make any attempt to save it.
