In the 24th minute, Bernie Dubé got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Graham made a kick off. Santiago Riggs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew Bruneau in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 minutes of play, Riceton AFC's Odell Shipman made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Riggs was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 60 minutes, Bernie Dubé managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bromhead AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernie Dubé was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 61 minutes, Dirk Britt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Riceton AFC and the Bromhead AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Riceton AFC's Dirk Britt got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Emanuel Graham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Santiago Riggs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odell Shipman in the 67th minute of the match. Louis Willoughby kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Odell Shipman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Santiago Riggs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Riceton AFC's Matthew Bruneau in 90 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Santiago Riggs guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Santiago Riggs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odell Shipman in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Bromhead AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Riceton AFC:s goal. The referee gave Riceton AFC a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Robby Byrd, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bromhead AFC's Santiago Riggs. 2-1. Many of Bromhead AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Bromhead AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Riceton AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
