Santiago Riggs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carter Pollock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernie Dubé in the 18th minute of play. One of Morricetown FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bromhead AFC:s goal. Daron McClain struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Graham couldn't finish the play. Dorsey Westbrook's late challenge caught a Bromhead AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bromhead AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Morricetown FC.
