Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) When Dion Escobar fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ladner FC's protests and gave Dion Escobar a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Ladner FC got a freekick which was hit by Dion Escobar. If Matthew Bruneau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes of play, Riceton AFC's Odell Shipman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Bolduc was left in no man's land by his defense there! Odell Shipman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Bolduc having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Riceton AFC's Matthew Bruneau got a free kick in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Riceton AFC's goalkeeper Célestin Muniz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglass Maxwell. Ladner FC's Ernesto Bolduc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthew Bruneau in the 18th minute of play. Matthew Bruneau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Riceton AFC booed when Ladner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Soucy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matthew Bruneau might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Bolduc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matthew Bruneau ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julien Arellano during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Robby Byrd took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ernesto Bolduc. Ladner FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Odell Shipman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Célestin Muniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglass Maxwell in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Ladner FC's Dion Escobar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Célestin Muniz. Célestin Muniz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, Ladner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Odell Shipman came free, but Ernesto Bolduc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Matthew Bruneau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ernesto Bolduc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dion Escobar made the kick off in the second half. Ladner FC's Douglass Maxwell got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglass Maxwell in the 53rd minute of play forced Riceton AFC's goalkeeper Célestin Muniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Bolduc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odell Shipman in the 60th minute of the match. Ladner FC's Douglass Maxwell got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Riceton AFC's Ignace Mallory got a free kick in the 68th minute. Ernesto Bolduc was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Odell Shipman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Odell Shipman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglass Maxwell in the 82nd minute of play forced Riceton AFC's goalkeeper Célestin Muniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Bolduc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odell Shipman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kip Frederick kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Marius Soucy hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th match minute Robby Byrd ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Ernesto Bolduc. 2-4. Matthew Bruneau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Bolduc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Ladner FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Bolduc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthew Bruneau. Riceton AFC played a much better game than Ladner FC and deserved their victory. The Ladner FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
