Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lyndon Barrette took the kick off in the first half of the match. Balzac's Lyndon Barrette got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jean Blanchard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Connors FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Blanchard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Gentza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Len Loiseau notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Balzac's Conrado Gentza. Conrado Gentza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lyndon Barrette got free with Dominic Ivey in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Graham Hutchison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balzac's supporters rose to their feet, but Graham Hutchison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominic Ivey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Balzac getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Alphonse McCarty hit a great ball. Conrado Gentza came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Connors FC's Jean Blanchard. But to his dismay, Jean Blanchard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Conrado Gentza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Blanchard in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Lyndon Barrette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Graham Hutchison scored 1-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dominic Ivey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Balzac's Conrado Gentza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Len Loiseau in the 45th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Alphonse McCarty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 47 minutes, Graham Hutchison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balzac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Graham Hutchison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Len Loiseau to make the kick off. Jean Blanchard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Gentza having to interfere. When Graham Hutchison came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Balzac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Graham Hutchison couldn't finish the play. When Balzac's Lyndon Barrette in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Connors FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jean Blanchard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Conrado Gentza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Balzac's Conrado Gentza got control of the ball when Jean Blanchard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Graham Hutchison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominic Ivey having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Lyndon Barrette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Ivey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Graham Hutchison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Dominic Ivey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Len Loiseau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Conrado Gentza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balzac's Conrado Gentza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Len Loiseau in the 83rd minute of play. If Len Loiseau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Freeman Faure fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Connors FC's protests and gave Freeman Faure a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes Connors FC got a freekick which was hit by Freeman Faure. In the 89th minute of the match Freddie Cardenas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dominic Ivey skillfully saved the ball. Vito Little charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Little the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Connors FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Balzac players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
