Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mariano Crowell made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 6 minutes, Mariano Crowell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mawer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Crowell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Shepard FC's zone, Mariano Crowell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentin Chu came out of the goal and Mariano Crowell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Devine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horacio Jimenez hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Shepard FC's Jerold Beatty in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mawer's goalie prevented a goal. Edmundo Devine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentin Chu having to interfere. In the 39th minute Mariano Crowell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentin Chu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerold Beatty in the 41st minute of play forced Mawer's goalkeeper Peter Childress to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerold Beatty's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Childress read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Jerold Beatty made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Mawer's goal looked a bit too open when Jerold Beatty came free, but Peter Childress reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Emon Rivers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mawer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shepard FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mawer's Emon Rivers got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jerold Beatty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Childress having to interfere. Mariano Crowell struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Florentin Chu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mawer. Felipe Brandon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Peter Childress came out and tried to block the shot, but Felipe Brandon slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerold Beatty in the 73rd minute of play forced Mawer's goalkeeper Peter Childress to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Devine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Florentin Chu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Mariano Crowell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florentin Chu. Shepard FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Crowell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Peter Childress was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hai Staley. Jerold Beatty's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Childress read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Mawer were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
