After 2 played minutes, Lawnhill FC's Lloyd Houde shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Columbus Canales came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lawnhill FC reached it. 4 minutes into the game, Maynard Boudreaux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quetico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lawnhill FC the free kick. After 4 played minutes Quetico got a freekick which was hit by Maynard Boudreaux. Lawnhill FC's Tommy Fontaine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maynard Boudreaux in the 7th minute of play. When Maynard Boudreaux came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Quetico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maynard Boudreaux couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Maynard Boudreaux's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Fontaine was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 12th match minute, Lawnhill FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loren Rock to maneuver through the defense. If Maynard Boudreaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Quetico getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Dorsey Parham hit a great ball. If Sung Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Quetico! After a defensive mix-up in Quetico's zone, Wesley Simmons stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Columbus Canales came out of the goal and Wesley Simmons tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sung Ramirez hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Sung Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quetico were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Lawnhill FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cornelius Guy took the corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Lawnhill FC. Isreal Kurtz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Columbus Canales. 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Valère Auclair managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quetico's supporters rose to their feet, but Valère Auclair was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Fontaine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Fontaine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valère Auclair's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Valère Auclair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Fontaine having to interfere. If Maynard Boudreaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lawnhill FC's Randolph Coffey got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blake Kitchen hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Maynard Boudreaux blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Fontaine having to make a save. Maynard Boudreaux took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Fontaine. Tommy Fontaine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Columbus Canales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randolph Coffey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Lawnhill FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
