Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 0) Valère Auclair made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Lyndon Barrette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quetico's Columbus Canales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Columbus Canales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lyndon Barrette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alphonse McCarty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Columbus Canales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Reuben Connelly was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quetico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balzac the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Quetico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reuben Connelly to maneuver through the defense. Columbus Canales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lyndon Barrette in the 13th minute of play. With a little luck, Balzac's Conrado Gentza got control of the ball when Maynard Boudreaux tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maynard Boudreaux received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Conrado Gentza came out and tried to block the shot, but Maynard Boudreaux slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. In the 25th minute, Graham Hutchison made a precise shot to the right of Columbus Canales. Quetico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Lyndon Barrette struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Columbus Canales didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balzac. When Lyndon Barrette came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Balzac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lyndon Barrette couldn't finish the play. Balzac's Alphonse McCarty got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conrado Gentza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reuben Connelly in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Balzac's Conrado Gentza got control of the ball when Maynard Boudreaux tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maynard Boudreaux got free with Conrado Gentza in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lyndon Barrette made a kick off. Maynard Boudreaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Conrado Gentza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quetico's Columbus Canales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Quetico from getting a goal against them. Lyndon Barrette who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Columbus Canales when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Graham Hutchison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 68 minutes into the game, Valère Auclair cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Conrado Gentza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Balzac booed when Quetico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Atkinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Columbus Canales didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harland Rodrigues went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Columbus Canales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graham Hutchison in the 79th minute of play. Balzac were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Quetico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Freddie Cardenas took the corner. Lyndon Barrette's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Columbus Canales read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Graham Hutchison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balzac's supporters rose to their feet, but Graham Hutchison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Columbus Canales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Columbus Canales stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Graham Hutchison's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Lyndon Barrette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
