Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lyndon Barrette started the match with the kick off. Florentin Chu was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Lyndon Barrette capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lyndon Barrette really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Balzac's Conrado Gentza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Brandon in the 13th minute of play. Miles Clinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Miles Clinton came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Balzac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miles Clinton couldn't finish the play. Greg Shannon hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Lyndon Barrette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lyndon Barrette's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Florentin Chu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 27 minutes into the match, Balzac's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Brandon came free, but Conrado Gentza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shepard FC's Florentin Chu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lyndon Barrette in the 29th minute of play. Harland Rodrigues hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Shepard FC were awarded a corner. Chi Brown went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Greg Shannon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Conrado Gentza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Miles Clinton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florentin Chu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. A hard shot 38 in the game by Lyndon Barrette from a close distance when the talented Florentin Chu managed to make a qualified save. Shepard FC's players were relieved. Harland Rodrigues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florentin Chu having to make a save. Felipe Brandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrado Gentza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Brandon in the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jerold Beatty to make the kick off. Conrado Gentza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerold Beatty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Graham Hutchison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerold Beatty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Conrado Gentza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Eric Creech mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balzac and the Shepard FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Balzac's Eric Creech got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Lyndon Barrette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 71 minutes, Blaise Pruett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balzac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blaise Pruett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conrado Gentza came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Shepard FC's Felipe Brandon. But to his dismay, Felipe Brandon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Brandon got free with Conrado Gentza in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lyndon Barrette blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florentin Chu having to make a save. Conrado Gentza made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Felipe Brandon sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Shepard FC defense, Harland Rodrigues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florentin Chu. The Shepard FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florentin Chu should have stopped the shot. Jerold Beatty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Gentza having to interfere. Graham Hutchison charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Graham Hutchison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 97 played minutes Balzac got a freekick which was hit by Graham Hutchison. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Balzac had played much better football throughout.
