Columbus Canales made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marcus Pacheco came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Quetico's Valère Auclair. But to his dismay, Valère Auclair quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Maynard Boudreaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valère Auclair in the 16th minute of play forced Osborne's goalkeeper Marcus Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Valère Auclair came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Quetico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valère Auclair couldn't finish the play. Osborne's Antoine Westbrook pulled a muscle in his leg after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herbert Labrie during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Herbert Labrie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Osborne booed when Quetico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reuben Connelly didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quetico's zone, Federico Haynes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Columbus Canales came out of the goal and Federico Haynes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Columbus Canales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathanial Larivière, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Columbus Canales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Haynes in the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Federico Haynes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Osborne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Haynes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valère Auclair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Pacheco having to interfere.
