Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lyndon Barrette started the match with the kick off. Balzac's Conrado Gentza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Absolon Gonzalez in the 13th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Balzac's zone, Anton Ruth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Gentza came out of the goal and Anton Ruth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lyndon Barrette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Edmonds having to interfere. Anton Ruth in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Conrado Gentza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lyndon Barrette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Derek Edmonds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Absolon Gonzalez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edzo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Absolon Gonzalez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Absolon Gonzalez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eric Creech hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Balzac's goalkeeper Conrado Gentza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Ruth. If Absolon Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balzac's Conrado Gentza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Balzac from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Anton Ruth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Edzo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a little luck, Balzac's Conrado Gentza got control of the ball when Absolon Gonzalez tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Absolon Gonzalez made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Eric Creech hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Absolon Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Gentza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Ruth in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Gentza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Conrado Gentza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Absolon Gonzalez in the 60th minute of the match. Absolon Gonzalez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Anton Ruth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Absolon Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lyndon Barrette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Derek Edmonds tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Lyndon Barrette cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Derek Edmonds was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 76 played minutes Balzac got a freekick which was hit by Eric Creech. Conrado Gentza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Ruth in the 79th minute of the match. With his leg Derek Edmonds managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Balzac's Lyndon Barrette fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Ruth in the 83rd minute of play forced Balzac's goalkeeper Conrado Gentza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Ruth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Conrado Gentza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lyndon Barrette struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Derek Edmonds didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balzac. After 91 played minutes Balzac got a freekick which was hit by Armand Lazure.
