Rod Garza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Tommie Flynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ripples FC's Achille Dwyer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Logan Caron but with some difficulty. In the 21st minute Rod Garza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommie Flynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elma AFC's goalkeeper Logan Caron, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rod Garza made a kick off. Francesco Connolly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Logan Caron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lionel Granger in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Logan Caron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute of the match, Rod Garza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommie Flynn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 68th minute of the match Gérard Casgrain sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Logan Caron skillfully saved the ball. Tim Caldwell's late challenge caught a Ripples FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Caldwell helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ripples FC booed when Elma AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Caldwell didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience cheered loudly when Augustin Lacasse's long shot in the 72nd minute became 0-2 when the ball went to the left of and passed Tommie Flynn. A collision led to Ripples FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gérard Casgrain hit a great ball. Rod Garza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Flynn having to interfere. If Lionel Granger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Elma AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
