Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Raymond Lagacé took the kick off in the first half of the match. Godelieve Nicholson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raymond Lagacé went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Jourdain Cullen came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Wainwright AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jourdain Cullen couldn't finish the play. Ned McCarthy kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Darrel Christiansen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aldo Pendleton. That made the score 1-1 in the 12 minute of play. Headquarters FC's Godelieve Nicholson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymond Lagacé in the 15th minute of play. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Jourdain Cullen sped through Headquarters FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Godelieve Nicholson. After a rather tough play, Headquarters FC's Moshe Ruel got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 31st match minute, Wainwright AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Lagacé to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Pendleton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darrel Christiansen, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Darrel Christiansen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aldo Pendleton, 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darrel Christiansen to make the kick off. Aldo Pendleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derrick Lilly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amos Gant hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Darrel Christiansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Pendleton having to interfere. If Derrick Lilly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jourdain Cullen kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Headquarters FC's Darrel Christiansen got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raymond Lagacé blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godelieve Nicholson having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Headquarters FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Wainwright AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
