After a defensive mix-up in Dapp FC's zone, Derrick Lilly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colton Melendez came out of the goal and Derrick Lilly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Dapp FC's goal looked a bit too open when Darrel Christiansen came free, but Colton Melendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Darrel Christiansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Archie Chenard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 minutes, Shayne Lane mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Headquarters FC and the Dapp FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vincent Robillard during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Dapp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Robillard to maneuver through the defense. In the 35thth minute of the game Jamie Thurston who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Headquarters FC's Godelieve Nicholson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Archie Chenard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dapp FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Archie Chenard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godelieve Nicholson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute of the match Logan Ziegler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godelieve Nicholson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jamie Thurston's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godelieve Nicholson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Darrel Christiansen struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Colton Melendez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Headquarters FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Chenard in the 47th minute of play forced Headquarters FC's goalkeeper Godelieve Nicholson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 48 played minutes Headquarters FC got a freekick which was hit by Shayne Lane. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Archie Chenard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Derrick Lilly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colton Melendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Derrick Lilly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
