Headquarters FC's Godelieve Nicholson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Lionel Granger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ripples FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lionel Granger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godelieve Nicholson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Jan Mata could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Godelieve Nicholson however easily saved by the left post. Jan Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godelieve Nicholson having to interfere. Tommie Flynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derrick Lilly in the 62nd minute of play. Shon Penn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Godelieve Nicholson. Headquarters FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Headquarters FC's goalkeeper Godelieve Nicholson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Mata. When Jan Mata came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ripples FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan Mata couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the game, Lionel Granger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Godelieve Nicholson. Lionel Granger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 77 minutes into the match, Headquarters FC's Shayne Lane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommie Flynn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Ripples FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ryan Gagnon hit a great ball. Headquarters FC's Darrel Christiansen managed to work through Ripples FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Darrel Christiansen dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Darrel Christiansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Flynn having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ripples FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
