In the 8thth minute of the game Hosea Allen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berthierville AFC's Dee Elliot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Hosea Allen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Gougeon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Dee Elliot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dee Elliot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hosea Allen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristofer Duffy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myron Ruel in the 30th minute of play. Kristofer Duffy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burl Fournier, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Berthierville AFC's zone, John Gougeon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dee Elliot came out of the goal and John Gougeon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Gougeon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 40th playminute. Kristofer Duffy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myron Ruel in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hosea Allen to make the kick off. Burl Fournier struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Kristofer Duffy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berthierville AFC. The crowd rose to their feet as Berthierville AFC's Burl Fournier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kristofer Duffy. That made the score 1-1 after 53 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Gougeon in the 57th minute of play forced Berthierville AFC's goalkeeper Dee Elliot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes, Wilbert L'Anglais mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pilger and the Berthierville AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 58 minutes into the game, one of Pilger:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Berthierville AFC. Renaldo Souplet stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kristofer Duffy. 1-2. Myron Ruel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kristofer Duffy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Burl Fournier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Burl Fournier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Donnie Ohara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pilger and the Berthierville AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Donnie Ohara hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Burl Fournier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristofer Duffy was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Berthierville AFC's Dee Elliot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Gougeon in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pilger's Vern Dufure got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 82nd match minute, Berthierville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burl Fournier to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Pilger getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Vern Dufure hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Wilbert L'Anglais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Burl Fournier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Basil Lizotte fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berthierville AFC's protests and gave Basil Lizotte a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Berthierville AFC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Basil Lizotte hit a great ball. Berthierville AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
