Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Rathburn AFC's Marc Matlock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristofer Duffy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 7th minute of the match, John Gougeon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edmund Desnoyers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Rathburn AFC booed when Pilger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elroy London didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Marc Matlock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristofer Duffy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Pilger got a freekick which was hit by Donnie Ohara. Pilger's John Gougeon got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Gougeon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 24th playminute. After having played for 30 minutes, Jeramy Grubbs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rathburn AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeramy Grubbs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Rathburn AFC's Jeramy Grubbs in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pilger's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Pilger getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Elroy London hit a great ball. In the 37th minute of the match Lothaire Hurt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristofer Duffy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kristofer Duffy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeramy Grubbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jeramy Grubbs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rathburn AFC's zone, John Gougeon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmund Desnoyers came out of the goal and John Gougeon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jeramy Grubbs made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Jeramy Grubbs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristofer Duffy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmund Desnoyers came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Pilger's Hosea Allen. But to his dismay, Hosea Allen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Marc Matlock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pilger's Kristofer Duffy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeramy Grubbs in the 71st minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Jeramy Grubbs got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pilger's John Gougeon got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmund Desnoyers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Dubé in the 84th minute of play. Jeramy Grubbs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Kristofer Duffy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc Matlock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 minutes, Elmo Neff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rathburn AFC and the Pilger players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 played minutes Rathburn AFC got a freekick which was hit by Elmo Neff. In the 92nd match minute, Rathburn AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Matlock to maneuver through the defense.
