In the 16th minute Filiberto Grimard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Desnoyers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc Matlock in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raymond Calloway prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Garson AFC defense, Marc Matlock kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raymond Calloway. The Garson AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raymond Calloway should have stopped the shot. Quintin Plouffe charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quintin Plouffe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 40 minutes into the game, one of Garson AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Marc Matlock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rathburn AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc Matlock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
