Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The supporters of Scona FC booed when Rathburn AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Caron didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute Aurèle Driver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Desnoyers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeramy Grubbs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rocky Flaherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurèle Driver in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmund Desnoyers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the game, Jeramy Grubbs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scona FC's Rocky Flaherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmo Neff in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Edward Beaulieu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edward Beaulieu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Scona FC's Rocky Flaherty got control of the ball when Marc Matlock tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurèle Driver in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmund Desnoyers saved Rathburn AFC from getting behind. In the 47thth minute of the game Aurèle Driver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rathburn AFC's Edmund Desnoyers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 57th minute, when Scona FC's Mikel Conway after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Edmund Desnoyers in Rathburn AFC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Elmo Neff charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Edmund Desnoyers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurèle Driver, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edmund Desnoyers, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edward Beaulieu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Edmund Desnoyers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Valentine Montano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurèle Driver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Scona FC's Otha Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Rathburn AFC's Edmund Desnoyers got control of the ball when Aurèle Driver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rathburn AFC's Edmund Desnoyers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Rathburn AFC from getting a goal against them. Despite being the better team, Scona FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
