Domenic Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dick Dennis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Stanton Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Golden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin McGee to maneuver through the defense. If Domenic Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Laberge might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Homer Paré. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jefferson Laberge ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenic Silva in the 20th minute of play forced Mayne's goalkeeper Homer Paré to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Domenic Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mayne's Homer Paré proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Mayne from getting a goal against them. Fredrick Paulson struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Homer Paré didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden. 31 minutes into the game, Domenic Silva lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Homer Paré. When Tracey Bourgeau fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mayne's protests and gave Tracey Bourgeau a yellow card for diving instead. Tracey Bourgeau kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Tracey Bourgeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanton Koehler having to interfere. Mayne's Tracey Bourgeau got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dick Dennis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes, Lon Wooten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Golden and the Mayne players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dick Dennis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Stanton Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dick Dennis in the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Golden's zone, Tracey Bourgeau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanton Koehler came out of the goal and Tracey Bourgeau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dick Dennis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanton Koehler having to interfere. Domenic Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Homer Paré tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tracey Bourgeau was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 66 minutes into the match, Dick Dennis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stanton Koehler, 1-1. In the 72nd minute, Tracey Bourgeau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute Fredrick Paulson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Homer Paré saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dick Dennis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Homer Paré took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenic Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Golden getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Augustin McGee hit a great ball. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by Golden's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jarvis LondeLalonde was slow to take the kick. During this time Mayne's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jarvis LondeLalonde got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stanton Koehler quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Mayne players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Golden from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
