Luigi Bailey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Tabor having to interfere. When Edwardo Golden fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Keewatin's protests and gave Edwardo Golden a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, Keewatin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwardo Golden to maneuver through the defense. Keewatin's Roy Tabor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lester Walsh in the 16th minute of play. Roy Tabor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luigi Bailey, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Donald Holliday stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Perry Wiley's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Edwardo Golden hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Luigi Bailey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Tabor having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Antigonish AFC's zone, Léonard Starnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donald Holliday came out of the goal and Léonard Starnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Perry Wiley made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Keewatin's zone, Luigi Bailey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roy Tabor came out of the goal and Luigi Bailey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edwardo Golden hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Donald Holliday made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léonard Starnes in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Antigonish AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Wiley came free, but Donald Holliday reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 65 minutes on the clock, Omar Ashby commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Antigonish AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Harold Feldman shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 72nd minute of the match Keewatin got a corner. Antigonish AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Harold Feldman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gregg Norris thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Donald Holliday, a very annoying self made goal in the 72nd minute which led to 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Keewatin's zone, Lester Walsh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roy Tabor came out of the goal and Lester Walsh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Keewatin getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Dwain Cyr hit a great ball. With a little luck, Keewatin's Roy Tabor got control of the ball when Lester Walsh tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 99 in the game by Lester Walsh from a close distance when the talented Roy Tabor managed to make a qualified save. Keewatin's players were relieved. Keewatin's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
