Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Raphael Hodges kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the game, Guy Fay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montmartre AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antigonish AFC the free kick. After 2 played minutes Montmartre AFC got a freekick which was hit by Guy Fay. Irving Houde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luigi Bailey in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Antigonish AFC booed when Montmartre AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Stiles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antigonish AFC's Luigi Bailey got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Proulx got free with Donald Holliday in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raphael Hodges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Donald Holliday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Montmartre AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thad Vernon to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 26 minutes, Luigi Bailey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antigonish AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luigi Bailey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Antigonish AFC's Luigi Bailey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Irving Houde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luigi Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Irving Houde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 56 minutes, Marco Proulx made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Antigonish AFC's Donald Holliday tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, Antigonish AFC's Lester Walsh dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 63rd minute, Lionel Jodoin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. August Paulet charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed August Paulet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Proulx in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donald Holliday prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Omar Ashby charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Ashby the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Antigonish AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Montmartre AFC a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rudy Kendall, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Antigonish AFC's Donald Holliday. 2-1. In the 81st minute of the match Antione Oconnell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donald Holliday skillfully saved the ball. Lester Walsh might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Irving Houde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lester Walsh ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luigi Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antigonish AFC's Donald Holliday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Proulx in the 89th minute of play. August Paulet kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Lester Walsh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luigi Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute.
