An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Bray in the 11th minute of play forced Keewatin's goalkeeper Roy Tabor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Milton Elkins came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sorel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milton Elkins couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Junior Leblanc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Keewatin getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Dwain Cyr hit a great ball. Eugène Curran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léonard Starnes in the 24th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Perry Wiley made a precise shot to the right of Eugène Curran. Sorel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Roy Tabor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Bray, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Perry Wiley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Tabor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milton Elkins in the 41st minute. Roy Tabor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Bray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milton Elkins scored 1-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roy Tabor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arlie Shields during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edmundo Bray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Tabor having to interfere. Milton Elkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Roy Tabor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 minutes of play, Sorel's Milton Elkins made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roy Tabor was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Sorel's Eugène Curran got control of the ball when Léonard Starnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eugène Curran made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Léonard Starnes sent off a good shot on target. Léonard Starnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugène Curran having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Keewatin's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Bray came free, but Roy Tabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Perry Wiley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eugène Curran. That made the score 3-2 in the 87 minute of play.
