Spectators: 6739 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 0) Justin Lavoie made the kick off and thus started the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luigi Bailey in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gino Poirier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Erwood AFC's Gino Poirier got control of the ball when Lester Walsh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gino Poirier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luigi Bailey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gino Poirier made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Lester Walsh sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute, Horacio Gregoire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lester Walsh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gino Poirier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lester Walsh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justin Lavoie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Holliday having to interfere. Luigi Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gino Poirier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lester Walsh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Gino Poirier made a huge save. Lester Walsh scored 1-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gino Poirier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luigi Bailey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Gino Poirier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 54th minute Luigi Bailey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Poirier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eldon McCracken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donald Holliday read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Luigi Bailey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Antigonish AFC's Lester Walsh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gino Poirier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Justin Lavoie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justin Lavoie in the 81st minute of play forced Antigonish AFC's goalkeeper Donald Holliday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Antigonish AFC's Lester Walsh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gino Poirier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With a little luck, Antigonish AFC's Donald Holliday got control of the ball when Eldon McCracken tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Luigi Bailey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antigonish AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luigi Bailey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Poirier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Luigi Bailey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gino Poirier was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Lester Walsh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Poirier having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Lester Walsh notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Erwood AFC's Gino Poirier. Gino Poirier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Antigonish AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Erwood AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
