After 4 minutes of play, Montmartre AFC's Raphael Hodges made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fermin Viens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Summerland AFC's Fermin Viens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Hodges in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Proulx in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fermin Viens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raphael Hodges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Viens having to interfere. Marco Proulx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Fermin Viens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Montmartre AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Proulx to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Montmartre AFC defense, Norberto Lefebvre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Irving Houde. The Montmartre AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Irving Houde should have stopped the shot. Leon Coates hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Irving Houde came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Summerland AFC's Norberto Lefebvre. But to his dismay, Norberto Lefebvre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Monty Guevara made a kick off. Raphael Hodges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Viens having to interfere. Fermin Viens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Hodges, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Irving Houde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Lefebvre in the 60th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Montmartre AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Guevara came free, but Irving Houde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Lefebvre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Irving Houde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Guevara, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Hodges couldn't finish the play.
