After a rather tough play, Montmartre AFC's Mario Stiles got a free kick in the 7th minute. Patricia were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Montmartre AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcel Garland took the corner. Marco Proulx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barnabé Barber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Irving Houde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otto Lake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Ashley didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raphael Hodges in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Ashley saved Patricia from getting behind. Patricia's Barnabé Barber got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Irving Houde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Lake in the 31st minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Montmartre AFC got a freekick which was hit by August Paulet. Otto Lake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Montmartre AFC's August Paulet got a free kick in the 35th minute. The audience was convinced that Otto Lake's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irving Houde was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. In the 39th match minute, Patricia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sang Brandt to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Rudy Kendall sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Peter Ashley threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Rudy Kendall this time. Peter Ashley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Hodges in the 42nd minute of the match. Raphael Hodges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, Patricia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Comer to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Montmartre AFC's Raphael Hodges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Ashley narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Otto Lake stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Otto Lake blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Irving Houde having to make a save. When Raoul Cheek fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patricia's protests and gave Raoul Cheek a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Patricia getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Raoul Cheek hit a great ball. The Montmartre AFC fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Montmartre AFC's Raphael Hodges looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roger Comer kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match Rudy Kendall sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter Ashley skillfully saved the ball. Barnabé Barber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Irving Houde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Ashley came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Montmartre AFC's Marco Proulx. But to his dismay, Marco Proulx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Peter Ashley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Hodges in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Hodges in the 81st minute of play forced Patricia's goalkeeper Peter Ashley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Patricia's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Proulx came free, but Peter Ashley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Irving Houde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Lake in the 84th minute of the match. Montmartre AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Otto Lake scored to the left of an out of position Irving Houde, making the score, 4-1. After 89 played minutes Patricia got a freekick which was hit by Roger Comer. Irving Houde came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Patricia's Barnabé Barber. But to his dismay, Barnabé Barber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Patricia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
