The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Patricia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Otto Lake made the kick off in the second half. Gino Poirier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Lake in the 52nd minute of play. Erwood AFC's Gino Poirier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Lake in the 54th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Ashley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peter Ashley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Lavoie, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. A collision led to Patricia getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Otto Lake hit a great ball. Erwood AFC's Justin Lavoie got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eldon McCracken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Ashley having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Otto Lake managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patricia's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Lake was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Poirier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Barnabé Barber notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Erwood AFC's Gino Poirier. Gino Poirier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Patricia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
