Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ben Huerta started the match with the kick off. Ben Huerta scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Sabourin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Castlegar AFC's Hayden Sicard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Irvin in the 8th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Clayhurst's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luciano Gross fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 21st minute, Elias Busby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Irvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayden Sicard having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Castlegar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ed Cobb. After 29 played minutes Clayhurst got a freekick which was hit by Honoré Chouinard. Luciano Gross recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Castlegar AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marlon Goudreau came free, but Hayden Sicard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Clayhurst's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Huerta came free, but Dante Sabourin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Clayhurst's goalkeeper Dante Sabourin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Gross. After 41 played minutes Clayhurst got a freekick which was hit by Elias Busby. Dante Sabourin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Huerta in the 42nd minute of play. Marlon Goudreau struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Hayden Sicard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clayhurst. Marlon Goudreau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hector Irvin to make the kick off. If Marlon Goudreau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 played minutes Castlegar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lincoln England. After having played for 59 minutes, Luciano Gross managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castlegar AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Gross was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Sabourin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Huerta in the 71st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Clayhurst's Hector Irvin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hayden Sicard. That made the score 1-2 after 74 minutes of play. Clayhurst's Dante Sabourin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Whitley in the 79th minute of play. Marlon Goudreau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Hayden Sicard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Jeffers kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Hayden Sicard had great luck who in the 91stth minute grab hold of the ball when Hector Irvin from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the final whistle sounded Clayhurst left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Castlegar AFC.
