Castlegar AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dirk Rader was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Laurence Sharp was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. Stephenville FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 18th minute, Dirk Rader left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stephenville FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Laurence Sharp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hayden Sicard came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Stephenville FC's Dirk Rader. But to his dismay, Dirk Rader quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Dirk Rader had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Luciano Gross managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castlegar AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Gross was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Castlegar AFC booed when Stephenville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aimé Dubois didn't get a good kick on the ball. Castlegar AFC were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Stephenville FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antony Mora took the corner. The corner led Castlegar AFC's Antony Mora to fire away a dangerous shot which Jerome Caudill despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jerome Caudill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Huerta in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Gross in the 42nd minute of play forced Stephenville FC's goalkeeper Jerome Caudill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hayden Sicard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dirk Rader in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

In the 52nd match minute, Castlegar AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Huerta to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, Dirk Rader was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stephenville FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castlegar AFC the free kick. In the 57th minute Ben Huerta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Caudill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stephenville FC's Aimé Dubois got a free kick in the 57th minute. With a little luck, Stephenville FC's Jerome Caudill got control of the ball when Luciano Gross tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 61 minutes Stephenville FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antony Mora who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Castlegar AFC's corner Antony Mora fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jerome Caudill quite easily take care of the ball. Jerome Caudill made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luciano Gross in the 65th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Laurence Sharp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stephenville FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurence Sharp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stephenville FC's Dirk Rader got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Stephenville FC's Laurence Sharp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hayden Sicard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Luciano Gross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castlegar AFC's goalkeeper Hayden Sicard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th match minute, Stephenville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk Rader to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Stephenville FC were the better team. Stephenville FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
