Sterling Landry who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Paul Leach when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sammy Desaulniers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Harris in the 42nd minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bud Womack stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 91 played minutes Brice Peachey rounded Albany FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. The Dover supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dover would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
