Bud Womack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bud Womack received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jerome Caudill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerome Caudill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bud Womack, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bud Womack in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerome Caudill prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bud Womack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Sterling Landry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sterling Landry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bud Womack took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerome Caudill. Jerome Caudill dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 30 played minutes Albany FC got a freekick which was hit by Dane Albert. The supporters of Stephenville FC booed when Albany FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas George didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Bud Womack got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute Bud Womack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Caudill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laurence Sharp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jerome Caudill didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. The supporters of Albany FC booed when Stephenville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aimé Dubois didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Sterling Landry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albany FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sterling Landry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lamar Phaneuf hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Sterling Landry who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Jerome Caudill when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dirk Rader sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albany FC's Sammy Desaulniers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Rader in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Albany FC's zone, Laurence Sharp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sammy Desaulniers came out of the goal and Laurence Sharp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Albany FC's Elvin Blanco got a free kick in the 79th minute. Jerome Caudill didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurence Sharp in the 91st minute of play forced Albany FC's goalkeeper Sammy Desaulniers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Albany FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Sharp came free, but Sammy Desaulniers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Albany FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stephenville FC.
