After having played for 3 minutes, Bud Womack managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albany FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bud Womack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mikel Coley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Longoria was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bud Womack showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Hiram Scales kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. The long shot by Curtis Ruffin in the 13th minute really tested Leonel Longoria's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 15 minutes into the match, Willowdale's goal looked a bit too open when Bud Womack came free, but Leonel Longoria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilio Narcisse's late challenge caught a Willowdale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Narcisse helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Albany FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Narcisse to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Abram Coon in the 18th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Curtis Ruffin kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. If Mikel Coley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sammy Desaulniers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikel Coley, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Abram Coon scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sammy Desaulniers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikel Coley in the 38th minute of play forced Albany FC's goalkeeper Sammy Desaulniers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Sterling Landry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albany FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sterling Landry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute Abram Coon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Desaulniers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute, Darron Jean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bud Womack to make the kick off. Willowdale's Leonel Longoria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bud Womack in the 54th minute of play. Bud Womack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Longoria having to interfere. With a little luck, Albany FC's Sammy Desaulniers got control of the ball when Mikel Coley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elvin Blanco charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elvin Blanco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elvin Blanco kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Sammy Desaulniers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Coon's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 69th match minute, Willowdale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darron Jean to maneuver through the defense. Leonel Longoria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sterling Landry, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 79th minute, Willowdale's Abram Coon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sammy Desaulniers. Sammy Desaulniers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Bud Womack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sterling Landry came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Albany FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sterling Landry couldn't finish the play. Abram Coon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy Desaulniers having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Willowdale eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
