Stephenville FC's Jerome Caudill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Irvin in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marlon Goudreau got free with Jerome Caudill in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jerome Caudill had great luck who in the 15thth minute grab hold of the ball when Hector Irvin from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When Stephenville FC's Laurence Sharp in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Stephenville FC's Jerome Caudill got control of the ball when Marlon Goudreau tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dirk Rader during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stephenville FC's Dirk Rader got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hector Irvin to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Stephenville FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aurelio Spicer who took care of the corner kick. Teddy Parrish was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Laurence Sharp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aimé Dubois could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Dante Sabourin made a huge save. In the 63rd minute Marlon Goudreau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Caudill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stephenville FC's goalkeeper Jerome Caudill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jerome Caudill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Irvin in the 71st minute of the match. Dante Sabourin came out of the goal and Dirk Rader tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laurence Sharp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Stephenville FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Stephenville FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Clayhurst were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
