Hayden Sicard had great luck who in the 8thth minute grab hold of the ball when Abram Coon from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The supporters of Castlegar AFC booed when Willowdale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hiram Scales didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ben Huerta struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Leonel Longoria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castlegar AFC. In the 17th minute, Antony Mora sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Willowdale's Leonel Longoria didn't even have to move. If Mikel Coley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Ralph Willis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Coon in the 25th minute of play forced Castlegar AFC's goalkeeper Hayden Sicard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikel Coley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th match minute, Willowdale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hiram Scales to maneuver through the defense. Hayden Sicard made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Mikel Coley sent off a good shot on target. If Mikel Coley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abram Coon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikel Coley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayden Sicard having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ben Huerta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castlegar AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ben Huerta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Longoria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Leonel Longoria came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Castlegar AFC's Adolfo Whitley. But to his dismay, Adolfo Whitley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hayden Sicard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikel Coley in the 56th minute of the match. Ben Huerta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Mikel Coley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hayden Sicard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Coon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quincy Booker charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Quincy Booker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Willowdale getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Quincy Booker hit a great ball. Hiram Scales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abram Coon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abram Coon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Hayden Sicard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Gross fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Longoria having to interfere. Ben Huerta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
