Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jamie Beverly started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Jamie Beverly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Cox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noel Manley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoine Cox having to interfere. Antoine Cox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamie Beverly in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Kinmount's Nickolas Fournier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Colby Bermudez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute Jamie Beverly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Cox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nickolas Fournier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colby Bermudez having to interfere. Joseph Dykes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kinmount's Antoine Cox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie Beverly in the 26th minute of play. Toby Newby's late challenge caught a Canyon AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toby Newby helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kinmount getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Toby Newby hit a great ball. When Jamie Beverly came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Canyon AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamie Beverly couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canyon AFC's goalkeeper Colby Bermudez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 35 minutes, Vincent Labrecque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canyon AFC and the Kinmount players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kinmount booed when Canyon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Labrecque didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Canyon AFC's Colby Bermudez got control of the ball when Nickolas Fournier tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Noel Manley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute Noel Manley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Cox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Canyon AFC's Ryan McCain got a free kick in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
