The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Collins AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Battle to maneuver through the defense. After 6 played minutes, Thetford's Landon Busch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robt Kline came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Thetford reached it. Jacques Landrum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dion Fagan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robt Kline having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raymundo Manley in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmy Dennis saved Thetford from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Raymundo Manley put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jimmy Dennis. Thetford's Jimmy Dennis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymundo Manley in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Collins AFC's Raymundo Manley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jimmy Dennis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Jacques Landrum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jimmy Dennis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Thetford getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Colombain Blais hit a great ball. After 45 minutes of play, Collins AFC's Jacques Landrum made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimmy Dennis was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raymundo Manley was the one to do the kick off. Lance Blanchard's late challenge caught a Collins AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lance Blanchard helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Thetford getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Lance Blanchard hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Carmelo McCain in the 54th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jimmy Dennis's left hand side. In the 68th minute Eliseo McFarland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robt Kline saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sterling Gougeon charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sterling Gougeon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th minute, Sterling Gougeon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacques Landrum got free with Jimmy Dennis in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacques Landrum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Collins AFC's Robt Kline played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo McFarland in the 81st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Raymundo Manley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimmy Dennis was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Thetford's Colombain Blais got a free kick in the 85th minute. When Eliseo McFarland came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Thetford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo McFarland couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseo McFarland in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robt Kline saved Collins AFC from getting behind. Collins AFC's Jacques Landrum got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jimmy Dennis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymundo Manley, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the match was over Collins AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Thetford throughout the match.
