The supporters of Manitowaning AFC booed when Canyon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Pittman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute Manitowaning AFC were awarded a corner. Jaime Dawkins went to the cornerflag to take it. Bert McAllister tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Colby Bermudez. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 11th minute. After 20 minutes, Terry Blackmon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manitowaning AFC and the Canyon AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manitowaning AFC's Anton Migneron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Manitowaning AFC from getting a goal against them. Jamie Beverly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Migneron having to interfere. In the 29th minute Young Priest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colby Bermudez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Canyon AFC were awarded a corner. Julian Pittman went to the cornerflag to take it. Noel Manley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Migneron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Young Priest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colby Bermudez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kelvin Franklin came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Manitowaning AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kelvin Franklin couldn't finish the play. After 44 played minutes Canyon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ryan McCain.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jamie Beverly to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Canyon AFC's Jamie Beverly made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anton Migneron was left in no man's land by his defense there! Young Priest struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Colby Bermudez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manitowaning AFC. If Noel Manley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jamie Beverly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canyon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamie Beverly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Migneron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anton Migneron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Manley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Migneron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamie Beverly in the 78th minute of the match. Garry Simard hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Anton Migneron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamie Beverly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Manitowaning AFC's zone, Noel Manley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Migneron came out of the goal and Noel Manley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Jamie Beverly's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anton Migneron was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 87th match minute, Manitowaning AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thaddeus Beauchemin to maneuver through the defense. Jamie Beverly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Manitowaning AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
