After a defensive mix-up in Jamestown's zone, Tyron Marion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Mathews came out of the goal and Tyron Marion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute of the match, Fredric Friedman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcel Mathews saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marcel Mathews made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tyron Marion in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Bitumount's Xavier Hale got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of Bitumount booed when Jamestown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Maloney didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Eldridge Oliver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carroll Beausoleil was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If César Maloney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percy Hernandez to make the kick off. Fredric Friedman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Mathews read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Percy Hernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bitumount's Carroll Beausoleil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Percy Hernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Carroll Beausoleil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eldridge Oliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcel Mathews took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyron Marion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berry Ricard kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Bitumount's Carroll Beausoleil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Bitumount from getting a goal against them. Marcel Mathews made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyron Marion in the 97th minute of play. Jamestown's Marcel Mathews played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredric Friedman in the 99th minute of play. Jamestown's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
