Russel Reese lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 10th minute, one of Markstay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Markstay. 16 minutes into the match, Markstay's Victor Cavazos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilario Bureau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Rochebaucourt's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Brenton Brandt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Victor Cavazos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Rochebaucourt booed when Markstay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Hart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerrell Hicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th match minute, Markstay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Cordova to maneuver through the defense. Brenton Brandt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Hilario Bureau skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rochebaucourt's goalkeeper Hilario Bureau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Markstay getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alphonso Pratt hit a great ball. Jerrell Hicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lonny Gaulin to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Markstay's Victor Cavazos got a free kick in the 54th minute. Rochebaucourt's Paris Sherwood couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Markstay. 58 minutes into the match, Rochebaucourt's goal looked a bit too open when Brenton Brandt came free, but Hilario Bureau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean Hart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keenan McHugh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lonny Gaulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Chris Cordova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Bureau having to interfere. Brenton Brandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Hilario Bureau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Cavazos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Bureau having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brenton Brandt in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilario Bureau saved Rochebaucourt from getting behind. In the 82nd minute, Brenton Brandt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilario Bureau was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Brenton Brandt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brenton Brandt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilario Bureau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brenton Brandt in the 90th minute of play.
