One of Sugden FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sointula AFC:s goal. After 13 played minutes Sointula AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Escobar. After 16 minutes, Bob LondeLalonde made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sugden FC's Darryl Cisneros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sugden FC's Darryl Cisneros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Sugden FC from getting a goal against them. Bob LondeLalonde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bob LondeLalonde charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bob LondeLalonde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bob LondeLalonde kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Bob LondeLalonde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Darryl Cisneros made a huge save. When Kristopher Becerra fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sugden FC's protests and gave Kristopher Becerra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Kristopher Becerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kelley Light, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sointula AFC's zone, Charlie Bower stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merrill Sheppard came out of the goal and Charlie Bower tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erich Cormier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merrill Sheppard having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sointula AFC's goalkeeper Merrill Sheppard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Erich Cormier came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sugden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erich Cormier couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Erich Cormier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sugden FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erich Cormier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merrill Sheppard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erich Cormier to make the kick off. If Erich Cormier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sointula AFC's Jefferson Wilcox got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Sugden FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristopher Becerra. Jefferson Wilcox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Darryl Cisneros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Erich Cormier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Mary Butcher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sugden FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mary Butcher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merrill Sheppard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, Sointula AFC's goalkeeper Merrill Sheppard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erich Cormier. Darryl Cisneros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob LondeLalonde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sugden FC's Darryl Cisneros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob LondeLalonde in the 74th minute of play. If Erich Cormier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Jefferson Wilcox got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Charlie Gale fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sugden FC's protests and gave Charlie Gale a yellow card for diving instead. Charlie Gale hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Sointula AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
