In the 18th minute Dewey Kimball shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keenan McHugh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jason Harper took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kendall Beal. Kendall Beal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jason Harper struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Dewey Kimball might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keenan McHugh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dewey Kimball ran back to his position shaking his head. Dewey Kimball's late challenge caught a Markstay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dewey Kimball helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brenton Brandt in the 38th minute of play forced Chicotte FC's goalkeeper Kendall Beal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jason Harper in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kendall Beal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Markstay's Keenan McHugh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Markstay from getting a goal against them. If Dillon Kinsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jason Harper struck a weak shot in the 47th minute.
