Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Sammy Coley successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Burton Wilcox kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Tannin AFC's Fausto Rouleau tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Emil Fortier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Millard Nickerson in the 11th minute of play. Vincent Lavallée kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With a little luck, Tannin AFC's Sammy Coley got control of the ball when Cameron Langelier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cameron Langelier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Sammy Coley made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reinaldo Foster during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Reinaldo Foster kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Chester Farrar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emil Fortier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Millard Nickerson, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. If Millard Nickerson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Millard Nickerson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Fortier having to interfere. Evan Thayer hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Fausto Rouleau was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cameron Langelier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chester Farrar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Emil Fortier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chester Farrar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darrell Hutton made a kick off. Tannin AFC's Vincent Lavallée got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When McGillivray FC's Cameron Langelier in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tannin AFC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darrell Hutton in the 59th minute of play forced Tannin AFC's goalkeeper Sammy Coley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of McGillivray FC booed when Tannin AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luther Page didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, McGillivray FC's Micheal Holliday got a free kick in the 66th minute. Emil Fortier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Millard Nickerson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tannin AFC's Chester Farrar got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Millard Nickerson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darrell Hutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 77 minutes, Millard Nickerson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tannin AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Millard Nickerson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cameron Langelier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Abram Cressac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tannin AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave McGillivray FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tannin AFC's Abram Cressac got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 85th match minute, McGillivray FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cory Lagacé to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in McGillivray FC's zone, Millard Nickerson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Fortier came out of the goal and Millard Nickerson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Burton Wilcox was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. In the 88th match minute, McGillivray FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burton Wilcox to maneuver through the defense. Emil Fortier was a little too slow when Millard Nickerson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Tannin AFC's zone, Darrell Hutton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sammy Coley came out of the goal and Darrell Hutton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The McGillivray FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tannin AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tannin AFC.
